Have a little Faith

A bit of light relief away from the increasingly unbearable tension ahead of the England v Wales match tomorrow as diminutive singer Paloma Faith is accused of ruining the Rugby World Cup.
There is, it seems, a petition on Change.org that reads as follows:

"We, the undersigned, request that you, ITV, remove Paloma Faith from the Rugby World Cup in order to make it a more enjoyable experience for all spectators."
Admittedly her rendition ‘World in Union’ isn’t great but ruining the World Cup? Hardly.

As the time of posting the petition is supported by a whopping 2,588 people. That’s 2,588 people out of a total average of 3.2 million people that watched the opening eight matches. Which, I think, says it all…

It must be said, though, that for one decent thing in the music England has produced (Gustav Holst's The Planets)...

...obviously they could leave it like that. They had to destroy "Jupiter".

How sad.

The Katharine Jenkins version was at least more pleasing on the ear. But I'm with sesenta y cuatro above, they should have used the original instrumental piece, far more dramatic on its own.
